Elusa-cheval is located in the heart of the Armagnac area, in the Gers region. The countryside is beautiful, with hillsides and valleys which are ideal for strolls and relaxation. Our region is also horse paradise, with many riders attracted to its green setting. The nearest major cities are Bordeaux, Toulouse, Agen, and Mont de Marsan.
Elusa-cheval is a rural horse-riding centre run by Jean DUPIN, a state-qualified instructor and horseback tourism guide. This riding school offers targeted, personalised training courses for all riders, from the youngest to the most experienced. The club has a large outdoor course with sand which can be used in all weather, a cross-country course, and a showjumping track.
The club owns 13 horses adapted to the needs of all types of rider. We obviously have Anglo-Arabs but also thoroughbreds as well as French and Spanish horses. They are all ideal for the sports and leisure activities proposed by the club.
Club activities
Elusa-cheval riding school is a member of the Fédération Française d’Equitation where you can practise the main disciplines - dressage, showjumping and eventing. For showjumping, we like to use the Orgeix method. Each year, Jean D’ORGEIX dispenses a course which is open to all riders. Riders can use their own horses or those of the club which are familiar with the method.
In July and August every year, Elusa-cheval organises two showjumping training competitions. Eventing is also a very popular discipline in our region and a very interesting 5th-category circuit is proposed to club riders.
We organise our eventing on the last Sunday of September.
